Day 16 - San Diego

Trying to get back into our exercise routine after so many days of driving in the car so we got up this morning and hit the exercise room.  After breakfast we decided to test the San Diego Transit system(or perhaps rather test our ability to navigate the city's mass transit) and caught the #30 bus a block from the condo and went to Old Town.  We spent the whole afternoon there even though we had visited last year.  Ron bought me some opal earrings and a nice silver bracelet.  He bought a leather belt.  In honor of Foreign Language Week/Month(or was that just a built in excuse?) we went and had a delicious Mexican lunch at Casa Guadalajara - The Margarita wasn't bad either.  We made our way back on the bus but got off a mile before our stop so that we could walk the boardwalk by Crystal Pier and check out some more of the neighborhood.  Christine stopped by after work and stayed to visit for a few hours. We are so enjoying the opportunity to spend this time with her.  Exercise and a bike ride to La Jolla tomorrow, along with our daily beach walk to be followed by attending Chris's soccer game.  Life is grand.

In the distance is the area with the rocks(octopus) from yesterday's posting.

Orange Tree on our walk home, also passed a Lime tree

Pool view from our 3rd floor condo.  Pretty quiet as the place is only at 25% capacity which is perfect for us!
