Today was our last day in San Diego as we are on the road tomorrow headed to visit the Grand Canyon on Tuesday. It's was a beautiful sunny day and the temperatures reached the high 60's. Hearing that there is snow and ice back home today makes leaving all the harder. Also it has been wonderful being able to spend time with Chris and Jason - that will be greatly missed. We made our usual Sunday stop at St. Brigid's today and then got breakfast at IHOP. A few major streets were closed around us due to CicloSdia - it is sponsored by the Bicycle Coalition of San Diego and Car Free PB. Two and a half miles of streets were closed from 9 - 4 for bike traffic only. Came home and went to Chris' so that we could take the bus together for opening day at Petco Park. It really was a great day at the park. They had record attendance, a tribute for Jerry Coleman (former Yankee MVP and announcer for 41 year), Navy Seal Frog Jumpers, and free Padre t-shirts. The Padres were behind 1 - 0 but came back in the 8th inning to beat their rivals the LA Dodgers. Went back to Chris' to say our good-byes and then back to the condo to finish our packing. I'll leave you with some pictures from Petco Park. As I said on Facebook it was the perfect end of a game/day/month. Heading home. Good-bye San Diego - it's been a great month.

Hasta la vista San Diego
