Day 2 - Pittsburgh

After another delicious meal - breakfast casserole- we set off with the Pittsburgh's best ambassadors and guides - Carole and Earle - to take on the Heinz History Center. There were so many interesting exhibits: western Pennsylvania sports, Pittsburgh innovations, Pop Art - the work of Burton Morris, and the French and Indians Wars. We spent 5 hours learning more about Pittsburgh's history.

Yes I was here too.

From there we went to Max's German Restaurant and had some great food - sauerbraten, all kinds of schnitzel, Viennese chicken, potato pancakes, sweet and sour cabbage. We did the sampler platter and I'm still stuffed.

Great Restaurant if you get to Pittsburgh

Wonderful German food

Came home and watched Olympic bobsledding, ice dancing and ski jumping.

Tomorrow we head to Charlotte. The weather is supposed to be messy but hopefully not for too much of our drive. We are hoping to find some better weather soon.

  1. Those uggs will fit right in in San Diego. Just be sure to pair them with short shorts!
